Michelle O'Rourke

Michelle was born March 5, 1955 in New Haven, CT to the late Michael and Jeanine Martino of Old Saybrook. After graduating from Old Saybrook High School in 1973, she worked as a waitress at Olivers and New Deal, where she made many lifelong friends. She later worked as pharmacy technician at Stop and Shop in Old Saybrook until she retired in 2023.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Paul Martino. Surviving her in addition to her husband Barry are cherished sons Michael O’Rourke of Meridian, and Shawn O’Rourke of Clinton; Siblings Chris Martino, Jeanine Martino and husband John Marshall, Guy Martino and wife Kim, Lisa Tisdale and husband John, sister-in-law Laura Martino, and many nieces and nephews. Michelle will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will always remember her bright personality and love for life.

A service of remembrance will take place at 11 am, January 4th, 2025 at Saint John's Church in Old Saybrook followed by interment at Riverside Cemetary, 59 Sheffield Street, Old Saybrook.

A celebration of Michelle’s life will take place at Fireman's Field in Old Saybrook starting at 1pm, January 4th, 2025. In lieu of gifts the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
