March 15, 1930 – September 20, 2022
Clinton, Connecticut
Frank passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2022, at the wonderful age of 92. He was born In Ruviano, Caserta, Campania, Italy to Arcangelo and Angiolina Riccio Palmieri and immigrated with his family in 1939 to New Haven CT where many of his friends and family from his home community resided. He was a graduate of Hill House High School in New Haven and served proudly overseas in the US Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict. In his youth he was a champion duck pin bowler and continued to enjoy bowling throughout his life. Frank was a skilled machinist who worked for Acme Wire and Echlin Corporation (35 years) until his retirement in 1996.
He was a friendly, kind, and gentle man who was dedicated to his family and was never without a corny joke to make you smile. We will miss you, Papa. He was addicted to his word search books which he would work on for 10 hours a day. His second passion was eating his goodies!
Frank was predeceased by his parents and brothers Raffaele Palmieri and Attilio (Carol) Palmieri. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 68 years Emelia “Millie” Creta Palmieri of Clinton, his children Sherrie (Augustine) Becker of Westbrook, Marc Palmieri of Clinton, and Gina Palmieri-Lafferty of Madison as well as his grandchildren Kerensa and Bryan Becker of Pennsylvania and Virginia and Francesca Rose Lafferty of Boston, his great granddaughter Brenna Vestal of Maryland and several nieces and nephews in the Connecticut area.
Please join us on 29th Day of September, 2022 at the Swan Funeral Home 80 E Main St Clinton CT from the hours of 5pm to 7pm with a blessing to follow at 7pm to celebrate Frank’s life.
