William Smith known as “Lil Bro” of Alabama and “Smitty” of Cleveland
departed his loving family on November 1, 2021.
William was born in Hayneville, Alabama on July 29, 1943 to Hugh Sr
and Roseanna Smith. He received his education in Lowdnes County public
school system. Later in life he relocated to Cleveland where he resided
until his death.
William worked at Midwest Forge Company for 39 years before retiring.
He never missed a day and was never late. William was a person who loved
and cared for everyone and was willing to help you if you needed him.
In 1965 he was united with Betty Reed Smith who had 1 son Spencer
Smith of Detroit. In 1971 he united with Lucile Smith and had 1 son
William Christopher Smith of Alabama. He has 3 brothers Arthur Smith
and Hugh Smith Jr. of Alabama who proceeded his death and James Smith
of Cleveland, Ohio, 2 grandsons Trevor Deloach of Detroit and Cameron
Smith of Daytona Beach, Florida. And a host of nieces, nephews and
friends.
