It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joel Scheer, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, at the age of 68. He left behind a legacy of creativity, compassion, and enduring love.
Born on January 4,1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, Joel demonstrated an extraordinary gift of design from an early age. He went on to earn a Master of Architecture from Tulane University, where he cultivated the skills that would define his remarkable career in architecture and commercial real estate. Over the years, Joel became a respected figure, earning him admiration from peers and clients alike.
Joel was the cornerstone of his family. Married to his soulmate, Liz, for 42 wonderful years, he was a devoted partner whose love and support knew no bounds. As a father to Emma and John, he was a constant source of guidance, humor and inspiration. His kindness, humility, and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew him.
Joel is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth K. Scheer, his daughter, Emma S. Greenes, and her husband, Michael Greenes; his son, John R. Scheer, and his wife, Tracy Scheer; and his cherished grandchildren: Margaret (5), Yves (4), and Ysabel (1) and his brother Marc Scheer. He is also remembered by a wide circle of friends and colleagues who valued and respected his vision, leadership, and heart.
