The staff at VA Disability Group PLLC are devastated. We loved working with Mark. He obviously had a heart for Veterans and the impoverished.  We routinely received communications from Veterans that Mark was easy to speak with and "down to earth." I personally regret that I never had the chance to meet him. He seemed "unique" in a special way in my few interactions with him. I fully intended to make a trip down from Michigan to visit him to get the face-to-face and enhance an already favorable rapport. I regret that didn't happen. Mark seemed very approachable, which isn't always the case with professionals. 

Thank you Betsy for your support in everything. The 2 of you made an outstanding team and brought light to a dark world.

I am so lucky Mark was such a wonderful friend to me.  He and Betsy helped me through the most traumatic time in my life when I lost my beloved Connie.  They made me feel as though I have family here.  I will miss you very much my friend.  My heart goes out to all the people who knew Mark and my deepest sympathies are with all the family.

Sincere condolences to Betsy and all of the Shoag  family. I worked with Dr. Shoag at Kindred and he was of the most kindest, down to earth physicians’ I have ever worked with.  His kindness and compassion for his patients was second to none.  Not only was he an excellent physician BUT he was also a wonderful educator.  He taught me so much.  I will miss you Dr. Shoag but I have my memories ❤️. Sue M

Mark was an amazing physician and a friend. He was there whenever I needed him and he will be greatly missed.

Dr. Shoag was one of the best doctors at Kindred Hospital. He was great with his patients and always treated the nursing staff well. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. You will definitely be missed. My deepest condolences to Betsy and the family. Rest peacefully DR. SHOAG 😢
