I was so sad to hear of this tragic loss to the Cleveland Jewish community.

I am devestated to learn of this tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go to the Sherman and Czinn families.  I remember being an 11 year old kid who had just moved from Seattle, Washington to a new neighborhood on to Penshurst Drive, and Aliza was always so kind and warm hearted.  Aliza always made me feel so comfortable and welcomed, and I have always felt inspired by how wonderful of a person she was.  Aliza will always be a hero to me.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I have been deeply troubled by this awful tragic loss of Aliza, and I want to do something good to honor her life and work.  I would like to start a nursing scholarship in her honor to help another nurse to continue in her work which was tragically cut short.  Anyone who would like to help me with this project or who knows how to go about setting up such a scholarship fund should contact me. May her memory be for a blessing.

I was so saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Aliza. She was our head IVF nurse for both of my boys. She was such a wonderfully kind and warm woman and she made me feel at ease. She was our favorite. God bless you Aliza and your family. Our sincerest sympathies for your loss.

To Aliza's family and friends, Aliza will never be forgotten. As an OB/GYN resident while she was a labor and delivery nurse, we spent many hours together. Aliza was my best pal in the 4th grade at the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland.  One day Shaindel S. (who was in the habit of taking off her loafers in class) was sitting in front of Aliza who kicked one of her shoes under the radiator.  I was sitting next to Aliza and I kicked the other shoe very far away.  Just then Rabbi Katz called on Shaindel to come up to the board and write something, and she had no shoes on- so she was trying to stall and make excuses and then finally had to go up in her stocking feet.  Me and Aliza were laughing so hard that we gave ourselves away and we all got in trouble, but Aliza was the funniest, nicest, and best pal to get sent to the principal's office with and I will never forget her.   I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. Your mom was my IVF nurse at the Clinic. Her warmth, compassion, and kindess were incredible. So much so that we kept in touch for years after my daughter was born. Your mom touched more lives in the short period she was here than many people do over their entire lifetimes. I hope she will remain an inspiration and a guiding light for you throughout your lives. May she rest in peace.

A piece of my heart has been ripped out and there are no words to express my pain, only tears.  Aliza was and will always be my best friend.  Love does not know boundaries, love transcends from this world to the next.  Aliza was unique.  The way she intuited other people's needs and met them with a sincere warmth and caring, even at a cost to her own needs was rare.  She had a ready smile for everyone, but those closest to her were her family.  She loved you so very much!  I want to reach out and offer comfort, but I am so broken right now that I don't know how.  Please forgive me.

26 years ago Aliza helped me through delivery with my 2nd child.  We have known Aliza and her family for years.  My brother Sam and I grew up knowing them.  When she stood at my bedside and helped me through labor, it made it all the more personal being cared by someone you know.  When I delivered I had not chosen a name yet for my little girl.  My mother then suggested why not choose the name Aliza.  She said it was a beautiful name from a beautiful person.  Aliza inspired the name I chose for my daughter and to this day that daughter is one of the most loving and caring children I could have wished for. Rest in peace sweet sweet Aliza.  Your children were very lucky to have you as their mother and they should always cherish your memory deep in their hearts.  You will be missed by many many people.  Our deepest sympathy for the entire family.

Aliza you were Such a beautiful Lady!  You are watching over all of us now and in a better place. God works in such mysterious ways and apparently he needed your  compassion, kindness and strength in heaven. As children of survivors, who sent their kids to the Academy, our families were a very tight knit community.  No amount of time or distance will ever change that eternal connection.  When I learned of Aliza's tragic passing, it shocked and deeply pained me, as it did for so many countless others.  My heartfelt condolences go out to all those who knew and loved her, particularly the Czinns and her precious children.  May Hashem watch over, protect and comfort you always. I only heard of this online and in another state, But felt the need to express my sympahy to her children and family.

Regardless of how far, Aliza has to dominate our minds.  She was truly "a class act" - intelligent, friendly, willing to help anyone in need, and so beloved by her numerous friends. We are so sorry you all have to go through this incredible pain and loss.

Aliza was our fertility nurse. I always looked forward to seeing her. Her compassion and kindness set her apart. She was a wonderful person who will be truly missed. The way she spoke with patients, explaining every step along the way to ease their minds, and her endless optimism made such a difference.  I will forever remember her smile, her voice and her empathy. I'm sure there are hundreds even thousands more who feel the very same way. You were blessed to have her as a mom she might not have changed the world but she certainly changed ours. I'm so sad for your loss and for the loss of an outstanding community member, employee, friend, and compassionate soul who helped so many through difficult times. As a former Academy grad, my parents and brothers knew the Czinn family for years, and they are incredibly good people! Aliza was my student when she was in high school.  She was lovely, bright, and enthusiastic in class.  I came to know her sweetness and trusted her to babysit my infant daughter. Many of my favorite childhood memories revolve around Aliza. We sat in shul together, took tennis lessons together and ran a summer play group together for several years starting when we were 12 or 13 years old alternating backyards on Severn road.  She was always so much fun and easy to be with.   I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Aliza recently on one of the most stressful days of my life. I am so grateful that she was one of the nurses on duty that Sunday morning.  She did everything in her power to comfort and reassure me in my time of anxiety. I could feel how much she really cared. Her kindness and compassion seemed to come so naturally. I thought of her fondly every day after meeting her and it broke my heart when I saw the tragic news of her death. It is so sad to think that others in my situation will not be able to experience her care during their difficult times. I didn't know her for very long, but I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace.
