Jerry Thomas Burris, 83, of Advance passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 31, 1937 in Rowan County to the late Ed and Zulla Burris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Joyce Kennedy Burris, two sons, Ronnie and Tommy and a sister, Phyllis. Surviving are a son, Randy and his daughter, Sheri; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Friends Baptist Church in Clemmons at 2:00pm Friday, May 14, 2021. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friends Baptist Church, 1840 Lewisville Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012 or to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27013.
