Evelyn Armstrong Johnson

Evelyn was born in Yadkin County NC on May 2, 1929 to the late, Ebb Armstrong and Mary Vestal Armstrong. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three siblings; James, John Armstrong and Mildred King. Evelyn was a dedicated childcare provider that took care of children in her home for several years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Bible Fellowship Baptist Church in Pfafftown, NC. Evelyn was a woman that was dearly loved by everyone who knew her, and was a Christian who loved and knew God.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Johnson; two sons, Rodney Johnson and wife, Sue of Wilmington, NC and Todd Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessi, Chase and Jarrett Johnson; three sisters; Blanche Cheek, Jane Tripplett and Gaye Brown all from NC.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Sunday, September 4th, 2016 in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, NC.
