Always in my heart and missed every day.  Although it’s bitter sweet today it’s also a joyous time to know that you are at  peace.  I am so happy that you lived life to the fullest as you left so so so many of us with wonderful memories.
Those memories keep my  heart happy and brings a smile to my face ♥️

11/5/2020 Hi Steve, just wanted to journal in here hope that’s ok. I was listening 620 WDAE the other day and they mentioned you. One of your callers called in. Wanted to share this with you. It was cool. Regarding things with me....well, it’s been rough lately...I went through a divorce a while (5years) ago and I still care deeply for my ex and miss my kids like crazy. Child Support is coming up...I’m praying I can afford that, an apartment, car payment, bills, etc...I have Faith it’ll all work out.
I took my kids to Tampa a lot (that’s where all my money went), but it was worth it! My 8 year old (Zac ~ he’s autistic) knows Tampa better than Jacksonville. And both boys are Bucs, Lightning, and Rays fans!
In any event, you’re show helped get me through a lot in life. Especially after my second divorce with Traci. Man, I wish you were still alive! Listening to you back in the day was healing. May I ask a favor? Please always have your protective wings over my kids Luke and Zac and for their mom Traci. I will always care and love them. Please look after me too of course.

I met Steve in the 90’s when he did his Monday shows at Applebee’s w/Mike Alstott. He’s good people! I’ve always listened and called his show often. He was always nice to me when I called! About 4 years ago I went through a divorce (still hurts 4 years later) ~ listening to his voice at 3pm and his work was healing for me and I am missing that tremendously. 
His opening dialogue was the best bar none and I always looked forward listening to him and Steve Isbitz from JoeBucsFan! Nothing beats that! Nothing at all. I know God’s got you, but I wish you were still here. 
Miss you Steve and thank you for always being nice to me and taking my calls since the 1250 days.

Hi my name is derra cotton AKA IBM International black man I listen to Steve on the radio for years when I first met him in 1992 at Beef O Brady's on Memorial Highway and Hillsborough Avenue I walked in and saw him for the first time he was a big man  I told him my name and shake his hand that was it we went at  it about sports I am  big Miami Dolphins fan we a lot of fun together I want to say God bless him let him rest in peace and his family and  all that listen to him maintain the funk thank you love you Steve rest in peace brother

Met Steve at a remote broadcast @ Linkster's Tap Room a few years back. We are the same age and spent a very pleasant afternoon talking between segments. We had a LOT in common and I found him to be funny, warm and totally dedicated to his family. Just found out about his passing. Very sorry to hear the news. All my prayers to his family and friends.

I have known Steve and Jennifer for about 18 years now.  I have numerous memories of Steve...some laughter, some tears, and more side-bets than I can remember.  Belly up to the bar with the Big Dog...what was better than that. 

But I also remember his sweet, soft side.  He was this “giant” of a man, tall in stature, huge in heart, wise in the ways of the world.  I don’t know if Big Brave Big Dog showed everybody that vulnerable side, but I saw it.  And I’m proud to have shared that with him...this “giant” of a man, showing the soft side of his soul. 

He adored his caring wife, Jennifer, and would have been lost without her.  Thank you my dear friend Jen, for never failing him, not even for a second.  Rest peacefully sweet Steve,  and until we meet again...may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

My deepest sympathies, and condolences to you on the loss of Steve...or, The Big Dog! As we all know he was larger than life, and was a true force of nature that commanded our attention, and respect. In addition, if you were fortunate enough to be allowed "inside" Steve's orbit, you also discovered he was a man that had a lot of love to give, and while it was doled out in many forms, if you gave that love to him, you recognized the love he returned (although, if you were hoping for the traditional, hug it out variety...you didn't know The Big Dog! LOL).

I was fortunate enough to work with Steve on "The Grey Goose 19th Hole" show on The Golf Channel for 5 seasons, and those were some fun years! I did not know Steve prior, and while it took us some time to learn each other, I quickly found myself drawn to him, and eagerly took in all he had to offer in golf knowledge, world affairs, and dealing with people. Our styles contrasted, but my respect for him, and the way he lived was/is immense! The man formed his own opinions, expressed them, and owned them. You didn't have to agree with them, but you certainly were well served if you considered them!

My apologies for being unable to attend the Celebration of Life for Steve today. I had to be out of town on a personal matter, and there is an ache that I cannot ease, and don't expect to for a long time. Steve Duemig meant a great deal to me, and always will. I hope he knew what he did for me and how he affected my life so positively, and I will miss him terribly. The world will go on, but it won't be nearly as much fun!

THANK YOU, Big Dog, and take your rest. You've earned it, my friend.

Essentially  those on radio or tv become part opinion maker and part entertainer.  Rarely do you get the combination that can do both equally well. Steve was not only that but he did it in a way that was unique to many.  I’ll never forget those buccaneer player shows from years ago my friend,  the way we laughed , talked about golf and ultimately disagreed about most things.  Rest well and I will always think about you Big Dog.  See-Ya 

It was an honor to be a part of the many lives that Steve touched while in St. Petersburg, Fl. The memories of Saute Cafe and the The Living Room (Plus the wedding!) will always be treasured. Prayers to Jennifer and family. 

My childhood best friend, my protector and my greatest supporter is now a lifetime of memories. My brother loved Tampa, it’s teams, the athletes and his listeners. How so very lucky all of us were! 

I grew up with Steve, 2 doors down on Carwithan Rd. in Philadelphia.  With Steve, Kenny and the Mannis's, we made some good childhood memories, with me being the tomboy.  From having a catch,  playing wire ball, step ball, pimple ball, half ball and stick ball.  Who's going into the sewer drains to retrieve our ball, head first, while we held their feet.  Our own playground was in the woods, between Carwithan Rd. and the Torresdale Boys Club. It is now  the Academy Rd. exit on 95.  One of my fondest memory of him is when Steve was in 8th grade and me in 6th grade.  At his Confirmation party at his house, we played "7 minutes in heaven" a kissing game where you kiss in a closet for 7 minutes (kissing only).  He had given me a black and white pearl ring then and his mom told me that he bought it with his own money at the Woolworth's 5&10.  I was afraid that I would have to marry Steve when we got older so I gave it back to him later that day.  Thanks for those memories Steve.

My dear Brother ... you’ve certainly lived a good life ... just not a good long life. You chiseled your path to the life you envisioned, and you lived the Dream... your Dream. Your family has always cheered you on with love and pride ... and you were blessed with your awesome and beautiful wife (Jennifer), and your awesome and beautiful  daughter (Jill), whom you loved and adored ... and Steve, you had true friends. You truly lived. 

Although I will surely miss hearing “hey Sis!” (among other things), I will always welcome when my mind drifts to the sound of your unmistakable laughter, and I will forever cherish the wonderful memories we created as brother and sister.

You have left us S.A.D.

Jenn, I can't even imagine all you've been going through, knowing you, you're focusing on the beautiful memories.  You two had a unique understanding of each-others thoughts, you were a "team". I've listened to Steve since his first radio program in the Tampa Bay area, and sports radio enthusiasts know that you feel like you know the hosts after you listen for sooo long! I truly enjoyed running into him several times away from the mic and I always enjoyed his candor and willingness to discuss a little further any topic that he may have already covered on his show (or couldn't discuss!)
One thing for sure - Steve was always honest, sincere and passionate. And when he went on the air, he came PREPARED! There is a huge void on the local airwaves and I hope somebody can at least come close to filling them in the near future (but I doubt it). 
On the personal side of his life, I never doubted that Steve loved his wife, his family and his friends. And he was incredibly proud of his daughter, Jill. He will be missed!

My beloved husband and best friend, Steve, would light up a room with a sparkle in his eye and a roar of  infectious laughter. He loved his profession, family & friends and his compassion, love,  & kindness was unlimited. A great man that will be missed but never forgotten as he lived Life to the Fullness!  So proud of him.

I first met Steve when he hosted the "Mike Alstott Radio Talk Show" at my restaurant.  A 20 year relationship of supporting one another both in buisness and life ensued. To the millions of listener's who heard the Big  Dog but never met Steve he was intelligent, funny, compassinate, and kind.  He will be missed.

A true Tampa Bay sports icon has been lost, more important, a dear friend.  I pray for the Lord's comfort be upon Steve's family during  these difficult days, as well as his friends and many listeners who had the privilege of hearing not just a great sports broadcaster, but a great man.
