Steven Andrew Duemig, age 64, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Thursday May 16, 2019. Steven was born November 26, 1954 in Pensacola, Florida. He grew up in Philadelphia, PA before eventually settling in the Tampa Bay Area.
Steve spent 13 years as a PGA golf pro before starting his 23 career as a sports radio pioneer and icon in the Tampa Bay Area. Steve also served time as the Lightning’s color analyst for two seasons, hosted a weekly call-in program on nationally syndicated Fox Sports Radio, and co-hosted a program on the Golf Channel. Steve was an advocate of Tampa Bay Area sports.
Personally, Steve was known as someone full of life and passion. He was a beloved husband of Jennifer Duemig and father of his daughter Jill Kays. He is also survived by his brother Ken Duemig and his sister Lisa Duemig. His family and friends will miss him dearly and thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support.
A celebration of life for Steven will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Feather Sound Country Club, 2201 Feather Sound Dr., Clearwater, Florida 33762.
