Peggy R. Gentry, 95, of Clearwater passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Peggy was born in Louisville, Kentucky and her family moved to Fern Creek, Kentucky where they ran a restaurant and a general store. In 1954 she moved to Gulfport, Florida with her husband Bill and they ran a propane gas business in Port Richey until the early 1960s. After their daughter Jayne was born Peggy worked as a housekeeper and a caregiver for her neighbors in Embassy Mobile Home Park in Clearwater for over 30 years. In recent years she enjoyed her retirement at Bay Aristocrat Village watching the birds and manatees on Tampa Bay. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William S. Gentry, her parents John and Myrtle Sollberger, her brother and sister-in-law Jay and Jane Sollberger and friend Don Earhart. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jayne and Matthew Sears, niece Linda Wiseman and nephew Terry Sollberger.
