Nora J. Armstrong

Nora J. Hamilton Armstrong (nee Connery), 85, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021. She was born on August 30, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA. to the late Thomas and Nora Connery of Glenolden, PA. After graduating from Glen-Nor High School in 1954, she married John William Hamilton II, with whom she raised five children in Brookhaven, PA. Nora was blessed to find love again with Frank J. Armstrong Jr in 1977, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1981. Nora was employed with Korvettes, J.C. Penney, and Sears, in Fine Jewelry. Nora loved watching the Tampa Bay Rays. She loved Astrology, was a voracious reader, and enjoyed watching romantic and funny movies. Nora also loved animals especially her dogs Prince, Clio, Angel, Buster and Bella.

Nora was the mother of Sharon Von Bergen(Richard), John W. Hamilton III(Tommie), Bruce Hamilton(Traci), Tara Thomson and the late Kelly Pascale, and Dawn Armstrong, and stepmother to John Armstrong and the late Brad Armstrong. Nora was a sister of the late Ellen Gressel, David Connery, William Connery, and Thomas Connery. Sister in Law to Linda Connery, Sally Connery, and Margaret Marsala(Paul). Aunt of David Connery, Christine Connery, Kim Gressel Abbott, Kris Gressel Smith, Thomas Connery, Susan Connery, Nancy Connery, Ann Connery Bellano, Richard Abbott, Todd Marsala, Kristin Marsala Sammartino and the late Linda Connery, Cathleen Connery, and Raymond Abbott. Grandmother of Jennifer Pennington, John Taylor(Jackie), Jakki Pascale, John William Hamilton IV, Kayla Hamilton, Ashley Propst, Taylor Thomson, Frederick Preston Thomson(Joelle), Austin Thomson(Tanisha), and great-grandmother of nine, all of whom she loved deeply.
