I am just learning about her passing. 3 years later. I was always hoping to take my children to meet her. Ms. Good was my 4th grade teacher. She was a MAJOR influence on my life and I owe a lot to her. And I mean A LOT. She stood up for me and loved me in ways that I needed. She encouraged me and took the time with me. Her and I laughed so much that 4th grade year. And I went to her a lot in 5th grade also. This is absolutely heartbreaking! I visited her once while I was in college at West Virginia University. She reminded me of my forgotten dream to be a journalist. And yet again, encouraged me. That fact that she remembered so much about me that many years later was amazing. She truly loved her students. I’m so grateful for the impact she made on my life!!! And is still making in my life today! 

I just found out about Lisa. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful and thoughtful person and teacher, always putting others above herself. She was a good friend to me at Mary Giella Elementary School where we worked together. I have often thought about her over the years and now am very saddened that we can no longer reconnect.

I’m so very sorry to learn about Lisa’s passing. I will always remember her as a sweet friend from high school and church when we were growing up. My prayers are with her parents and family in the days ahead.

Lisa was a wonderful teacher she was my grandson teacher who is in his twenties he has never forgotten. I worked so many years at Mary Giella with Lisa before I retired we would see each other in the hallways at school she always had a smile for me a hello or have good day. She was a wonderful person and was taken way to soon. She had so much to offer to the children . God has gained a beautiful Angel my condolences for her Family. My grandson and I are very sorry for your loss.

I am greatly saddened by the passing of Lisa.  She was my mentor my first year teaching at Mary Giella and quickly became a friend.  I was also fortunate enough to teach on the same team with Lisa and learn from her.  Lisa was always there to listen to struggles I was having and to encourage me to strive for further dreams.  When I finished my Masters Degree and was admitted into the Assistant Principal Pool, Lisa was one of the first people I told.  Hearing from her that she would gladly teach wherever I became an administrator was an amazing compliment that meant the world to me.  The faith she had in me was astounding.  When I left Mary Giella to pursue other aspects of my teaching career, Lisa was there to tell me how great I was going to do.  I always made a point to stop and see her whenever I would visit Giella and was greeted with a smile.  She loved every student who passed through her classroom and let them know that.  I am honored to have called Lisa a friend and be one to her.

I  met Lisa at Mary Giella Elementary.  Lisa was a wonderful, caring Christian who  would go out of her way to help children and co-workers.  Sometimes the children would ask if Lisa and I were related because we shared strict loving discipline methods.  We both believed that all children could succeed with  good guidance and love.  We also shared the same birthday month. Lisa’s birthday came two days before mine.  I would tease her that we Taurus’ needed to stick together. 🙂

My heart is sadden, a wonderful teacher lost her life to soon.  I know deep down that the LORD had something better for her, his Heavenly home.  May my friend / co-worker Rest In Peace with JESUS.

Words cannot express the sadness and anger that I have, that such an amazing person is no longer with us.  Miss Good was a teacher when I attended MGES as a student and I currently had the privilege to work along side her as a teacher myself.   Her dedication to the kids was so impressive.  She inspired me.  We would usually arrive at school around the same time and would start loading up around the same time.  Her classroom was across from mine.  As we started and ended our work days, we would wish each other good days and good nights, she would offer to pray for me when times were tough.  This world will not be the same without her, but I promise to carry her love and dedication in my footsteps and she will live on in the good that I and others do.  There is a void outside my classroom door without her but as I start each day I remember her grace and smile and will carry it into my classroom.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

This past summer before schooled started I remember my boss asking me to paint all of her cork boards in her classroom .  A beautiful color green .  I believe she said it was her favorite color. Miss Good is inspiration to us all .  I will miss her deeply. 

All four of my children were MGES Dolphins. 
I had both the honor and the privilege of Lisa Good teaching my daughter and my son, for two years each. I will never forget how excited Miss Good was to teach my son. She hung my daughter’s student council posters that she had saved from years prior, when she taught her, all around the room so he would feel comfortable to see his sister on the walls. She smiled so big and told me how she could never get rid of them. She had the most warm, and welcoming demeanor. When I walked my son to class each morning, she and I talked about our families and she always asked about my other children and gave my youngest a sticker every day of her choice. Lisa Good was an exemplary woman. She dedicated her life to teaching and she did it well. She pushed for greatness and she lead our youth with grace. She will be missed by many. Attached is a photo of my son, attending pajama day, hosted by his favorite teacher. 

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like Miss Good. She was caring, an amazing role model, and such a good hearted woman. I was lucky enough to have her for a teacher for 2nd and 4th grade, and my older sister had her before I did. I don’t think works can describe how blissful those two years were and how much they meant to me. Miss Good was genuinely a different type of soul and a blessing to this world. Rest In Peace, Miss Good. Love you.

Lisa was an inspiration to everyone around her.  She will forever live in our hearts as she left pretty firm footprints on them, especially if you were lucky enough to be her student.  She was an incredible teacher with a heart that no one could compare.   
I loved to see her smile and laugh, even when times were tough.  You will terribly be missed my friend, but someday, we will meet again.  

In 2001-2003 Miss good was my teacher for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade!
When my mom passed away in 4th grade, she was my saving grace. She took me under her wing and kept me pushing forward. Her love and encouragement was exactly what I needed at that time, and has carried me through. She is 100% the reason I became a teacher. When I was 10 years old I knew exactly who I wanted to be like when I was grown up... it was her. I wanted to be a Miss Good to someone. I wanted to change a child’s life. I wanted to be who I needed when I was younger! 
She always seemed so perfect and well put together. Her handwriting was gorgeous! Her soul was even more beautiful though. She always provided the perfect balance of love and discipline.  
Every single day I go to school, I strive to be just like her! I remember when I first became a teacher, in my interview with Jill and Lee-Anne, I told them my story about her and how SHE was my reason. 
Hands down, the most amazing teacher I have EVER known. 
She is the reason I do what I do. She was so special to me. 

Rest easy, Miss Good!

I had the pleasure of working with lisa at Mary Giella. She was an exceptional teacher. She was the kindest person. She loved all her students and would be anything for them. It breaks my heart to hear this but I know she’s an angel in heaven because she truly was one on earth. Prayers for her family , friends and students. 

My son had a difficult time learning and was quite a handful at time's  but Ms. Good worked with him and it became easier for him. She was very sweet all the time and patient, he really loved her and learned so much from her because she just had a way about her that kept him on track. Heaven has another wonderful angel now. My son Justin and I send our deepest sympathy  to her parents and family. Rest easy Ms. Good, you will always be loved and missed. 

Lisa was an incredible teacher and amazing friend! In the 12 years we worked together we shared so many moments of laughter and tears. I miss her greatly. 

Lisa was one of my favorite co workers. I loved just to talk a bit each day with her. I remember she and her mom and brother setting up her classroom for another year.
God be with the family and grant Lisa his kingdom.

So glad I had the pleasure to work with Lisa and be on her team. She gave her all to her students when teaching them. Such a Dedicated teacher! Heaven has gained an Angel! Rest in Heaven Sweet Lisa❣️

Miss good was my daughter Rachel's teacher she was the best teacher my daughter ever had my condolences to the family

Lisa was my son's 4th grade teacher. I was very fond of Lisa as a teacher and a confidant at MGES. We had a childhood much alike one another and I loved that she could be a part of my son's life and help make him into the caring young man he is today. We were really upset to find out the news of her illness then passing, but I know for a fact I will see her again someday.  We had many conversations on our spiritual beliefs and I am so glad I could call her a friend.

Mrs. Good, was the teacher to my second eldest daughter when she was in 2nd grade and to my youngest daughter this year. My youngest took it pretty hard, she really took to her teacher. She was a great teacher to both my daughters and will be very missed. 

Miss Good was my 3rd-5th grade teacher. She was always in good spirit and loved us all so much she moved up with us till she couldnt anymore. Even though its been 23 years since she was my teacher, my Niece got the honor of having her this year as a teacher and she still remembered who i was. RIP Miss Good.

Ms. Good was one of my daughter's teacher for 3 years in a row. My daughter loved her as her teacher then and still today. I was happy to find out that Ms. Good was my granddaughter's teacher this year.  Great teacher and great person. See is and always will be missed. 

I was her student for 2nd and 4th grade and cherished every moment of it. She was my role-model, teacher, and even friend. She introduced me to so many things including Mr. Rogers, Geronimo Stilton, and spanish. I loved her, and I miss her. <3 

Lisa was a co-worker to me at MGES and teacher to my two boys.   She was soft spoken and dedicated to her craft.  Spencer and Teague would always tell me that she was one of their favorite teacher's... even into adulthood she would be brought up in conversation.   They would say she was strict,  but it was good.   In being that way they always knew what was expected if them and they head Learned do much from her.  She was so kind with a sincere smile that lite up a room.   My little family was blessed and fortunate to have our lives touched but her.  We are saddened by her loss. 

My deepest condolences to Lisa's mom and family! Our hearts are heavy right now, but finding comfort knowing she is an angel.  For so many years, she traveled such a far distance each day to make a difference for children and was their strongest advocate!  She was my mentor 18 years ago and a dear friend.  As my child's teacher, she pushed for excellence.  During our chats, she showed such love for my kids (always asking, always interested, and being there for them).  She had dedication and compassion like no other and her loss will be felt by so many of the lives she touched over her many years.  We missed our lunch date, but I promise we'll see each other again and I'll make up for it!  Miss you Lis..
