Larry Jones

Larry Jones, 75, passed away June 21, 2018 from complications of Parkinson’s. He was born in Concord, NC on August 29, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith Morton and Ernest Jones, and his sister Sylvia Almond. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda, daughters Tammy Jones of Largo and Tonya Visser (Drew) of Riverview, and son Tony Jones (Amy) of Tampa. He was so proud of his grandchildren, Travis and Tyler Steckler, Lauren and Preston Jones, and Angelina and Alexis Visser. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Payne of NC, cousins, nephews, nieces and many great friends.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1964 and went on to enjoy a career in medical sales. He was a faithful Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a very loving and caring husband and father. His children loved their father dearly and will forever be grateful for the life lessons that he taught them.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 30th, in the Town Hall at Regency Oaks located at 2751 Regency Oaks Blvd. in Clearwater. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760 or online at suncoasthospice.org.
