Largo, Florida, Friday Feb 15, 2013, at age 82. Surrounded by his family, John passed from this Earth, and entered into the Kingdom of our Lord. Predeceased by his parents, Alice and Mortimer, and his brothers, Robert, Allen and Leo. Survived by Anna, his loving wife of 52 years, and his sons, Patrick (Kelly), John (Laura), Anthony (Dana) and Matthew. Proud Grandfather to Christopher, Daniel, Kelsey, Nathan, Morgan, Jordan and Zachary. Survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, “Uncle Jack” is also survived by over 40 nieces and nephews.
Born in 1930, in Rochester, New York, to Irish and Welsh immigrants, John attended Catholic schools thru his graduation from High School. A resident of the Rochester area for over 70 years, John was a veteran of the Korean War. After a 30 year career as a Postman, he retired from the U.S. Post Office, while previously working at the former American Laundry Company, as a shift foreman. John and Anna relocated to the Tampa Florida area in 2006, to be near three of their sons.
A friend to the Elderly and beloved by Children of all ages, John will be missed by many. Private family services in Largo FL, Feb 24.
