Jack is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginny”, his children - Karen, Judy, Jay, Steve; and granddaughters – Amy, Jamie, Michelle, and Kristen. Jack is also survived by brothers Bill & Jim.
Jack was born on May 25, 1935 in Richmond, VA to Thomas & Frances Collins. He was a decorated athlete receiving a football scholarship from the University of Virginia. He also competed on the University’s Track & Field team and earned his degree in Business Administration.
He married Virginia Helbig, his high school sweetheart, in 1955. They remained happily married for more than 63 years. In their early years, they were blessed with four children and Jack set about teaching them the importance of God, love and family. His children remember him as an unselfish, giving father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
Jack was accomplished at Sales & Marketing and was often the top producer of Sales in his regional executive position at IBM. He received several awards for IBM’s prestigious Golden Circle that allowed him and his wife to travel to many of the most beautiful places in the world.
He was a committed and generous individual who loved God and family and who was passionate about faith, morality, integrity and family values. He was an active and dedicated member of the Catholic Church and often volunteered for church sponsored functions and was deeply involved as volunteer and coach for all of his children’s activities. He was also very active in his contributions to his community.

A funeral is scheduled for November 4, 2018 at Sylvan Abbey - 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759 at 1pm.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jack’s life. His wishes were to keep his service simple and small with family and close friends. Please feel free to attend in comfortable casual/business casual attire for the service.
