> > Joanne Hester Dunton > > Joanne "Jo Jo" Hester Dunton, 81, entered into eternal peace on Monday, 10/17/16, at Mease Hospital , Clearwater , FL. She was born in Marietta, GA on 10/18/1934 to the late Karl Hester and Hattie Hester. She was a graduate of Marietta (GA) High School. She later moved to Washington, DC and worked at the Sheraton Hotel. Her travels continued to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and worked for Crawford and Company. It was there that she met her husband of 56 years, Marty Dunton. She became a homemaker and raised two children, Matt and Brooke. Joanne was an avid reader, crossword puzzle wiz, amazing cross stitcher and created beautiful afghan blankets for the troops and local hospitals over the years. Her favorite time was spending summers at the beach with her sister Sally who predeceased her, and family. Joanne was a southern charm, a beautiful lady with a big heart. She is survived by her husband, Marty Dunton of Clearwater; son, Matt Dunton of St. Petersburg ; daughter , Brooke Lee Narum and husband Kenny Narum of Clearwater; grandchildren, Garrett Dunton (Shelby Dunton), Bryce Dunton, Blayne Dunton, Kendall Narum and Riley Narum; Great-grandchildren, Liam Dunton, Emma Dunton, Eli Dunton; and numerous family and friends. Many thanks to Mease Countryside doctors and nurses for their amazing care and genuine concern from the ER to her final resting place in room 3111. Words cannot express our appreciation! A service to celebrate Joanne's life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at ????, Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
