Henrietta "Hank" Hardy passed on to be with our Heavenly Father and her husband and parents on June 26, 2013. Born in Tampa, FL on November 28, 1925 to R. G. "Gillie" Trezevant and Ida Boykin Trezevant, she lived in Tampa until attending Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee. After the War, she married the love of her life, George E.W. Hardy, III and moved to Clearwater in 1950. They celebrated their 64th Anniversary before his passing.
Hank's memberships included the Clearwater Yacht Club, CYC Gulls, Clearwater Historical Society, Heritage Village docents, Junior League of Clearwater, YWCA, and Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a longtime, active member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension. She loved her extensive travels with George.
She is survived by their sons and wives, George E.W. "Chip" Hardy, IV and Betty, and Robert G. Hardy and Sharie, granddaughter Sarah Jo Contardo, her husband Dr. Christopher Contardo and two great-grandchildren, Xavier Christopher and Samantha Anne , and grandson George E.W. "Chad" Hardy, V.
The family extends special thanks to Hank’s caregivers, especially to Sandy Hitchins, Mona Khan, and Bayshore Home Health Care staff.
Visitation will be held at Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater on July 1, 2013 from 5-7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave., Clearwater, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rotary Club of Clearwater Charities, Inc., Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, or Episcopal Church of the Ascension would be appreciated.
