Gunseli Celgin, of Clearwater, Florida and Istanbul, Turkey, passed from this life on September 16th, 2017. Born on April 17, 1941, to Seyyan Cemile Arsan and Ahmet Bedii Arsan. Gunseli emigrated to the United States in 1960 where she raised her two children. She lived in Chicago, Maryland and Clearwater, but Istanbul was always her home. Gunseli had a voracious appetite for life and a magnetic personality that could light up any room. Above all, Gunseli loved her children, her late husband of 30 years, Dr. Halil Sedat Celgin, and her family. Family and friends meant the world to Gunseli, and vice versa. She is survived by her daughter Bijen Dyrek, her granddaughter Kara Dyrek, her son Tunc Lokmanhekim, her brother Altan Arsan and his children, along with many beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 10:00 am -11:00 am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, both in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Peacefield Chapel.
