Eleanor "Ellie" Wendt, age 85, of Crystal Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Eleanor was born in Rangoon, Burma on May 15, 1938 to Bertie and Pearl Rivers. Both precede her in death as well her husband Ralph O. Wendt, her brother, Ronnie Rivers and her half-sister, Agnes Guha. Ellie is survived by her sister, Kathleen "Kiki" Lee of Champex, Switzerland; daughter, Laura (Chris) Scalzi of Crystal Beach, FL; her son, Ralph J. (Heather) Wendt of Palm Harbor, FL; and grandsons, Collin Wendt and Connor Wendt, and her loving Papillon, Fleur de lis.
Ellie received her education in her hometown of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England before she moved to the United States in 1963. Ellie was an avid reader and enjoyed nurturing plants, especially her orchids. Ellie also took pleasure in cooking, especially Asian dishes tied to her heritage. She loved all of her lap dogs over the years, but most recently, Fleur de lis.
There will be a private graveside service held for Eleanor.
