Dorothy J Whitehead

Dorothy J "Dolly" Whitehead, age 87, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was born in Lake Forest, Illinois on May 6, 1937 to John Brader and Gertrude Owen Brader. She is survived by her three children, David, Denise, and Donna, five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews as well as many honorary children and grandchildren who called her mom and Nana. Dorothy was the matriarch of the family and all will miss her dearly.

There will be a gathering held for Dorothy at 10:00 am on May 28, 2024 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home (2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759). A funeral service will occur at 11 am officiated by Pastor Matthew Trill.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to honor Dolly by donating to two local organizations that are about feeding those in need. The first is Feed the Fosters; they are dedicated to providing meals to foster families. The second is 5 Loaves and 2 Fish an organization about feeding those in need physically and spiritually. Feeding those who visited her really meant so much to her and brought her true joy.
