Dorothy C. Miller, beloved wife of Benjamin for 73 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 19, 2015. She is survived by Benjamin, daughters Janet Lang, Ginny Wilkens and her husband Jack, grand daughters Melissa Wilkens-Harris and husband Mark, MeredithWilkens, and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born in Philadelphia, PA. on June 4, 1917 and lived there until marrying Ben in 1941, settling in Washington DC until the beginning of World War II. Ben enlisted in the US Air Force and was commissioned as a Navigator in Monroe LA. Dorothy drove by herself to join him there in a 1936 Chevrolet. During the war she also,lived in Houston, TX and Biloxi MS. She raised her family in Rochester NY, Tenafly NJ, Ottawa Canada, Huntingdon Valley PA and Park Ridge IL. Later in life, she and Ben settled in Palm Harbor FL and Tampa FL. Dorothy learned to ski in Canada and enjoyed many years of skiing in Colorodo. She loved to play bridge , organize get togethers with family and friends and spend her summers at Killington, VT. She was a creative cook and a world class soup maker. Dorothy also enjoyed traveling. She vacationed throughout the United States and Canada, Europe, the far east, Australia, New Zealand and North Africa. A Funeral Mass followed by a light lunch will be held at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church , 2405 Phillippe Parkway, Safety Harbor: FL at 10:30 AM Wednesday April 29, 2015. Please do not send flowers.
