Derrin Lee Jones

Derrin was born on September 26, 1982 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He spent his formative years in the U.S. and in Taiwan, and graduated with the Class of 2000 from Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana.

Following high school, Derrin attended Indiana University, where he earned his BS degree in Informatics.

A true entrepreneur, Derrin owned and operated his own computer and cell phone retail and repair business in Clearwater.

Derrin lived with an open heart and a youthful, joyous spirit. He and his wife Nadia enjoyed a beautiful life together, full of love and memories, cherishing the small moments as much as the milestones.

Derrin valued family and friends above everything, and his life was a reflection of the passion he had for those relationships - husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin or friend.

With his quick wit, warm smile, and genuine kindness, Derrin had a unique way of connecting with everyone he knew and met.

Though he will be deeply missed, Derrin's legacy of courage and compassion, of love and laughter, will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Derrin is survived by his beloved wife, Nadia Samji Jones; his father, Daniel Davidson (Debi); brothers, Bryan McDowell (Sharon), Kent Haffner (April), and Scott Davidson (Amy); sisters Shannon Mittler and Christy Davidson Wright (James); mother in law Zainab Jenny Samji; brother in law Rahim Samji (Roxanne); and uncle, Donald Jones (Lynne), as well as many extended family members and friends.

Derrin was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Lee Jones.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 3- 7 PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road Clearwater, Florida 33759.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Derrin's memory may be made to American Cancer Society.
