He was born November 21, 1930 in Milton, New York to the late Edna Foster Sleator and Clyde Ransley Purdy.
Dart served proudly in the United States Navy.
He graduated from The University of Vermont with a degree in Engineering. He worked for International Paper in Pennsylvania and American Tobacco in Virginia before moving to Florida.
Dart enjoyed golf and tinkering, he could fix anything!
He served as the President of his neighborhood HOA in New Port Richey.
In addition to his parents, Dart was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Miller Purdy; second wife, Patricia Albrecht Purdy; siblings, Dorothy Hazel Paul and Clyde Nelson Purdy.
Dart is survived by his nieces, Deborah Paul, Leslie (Mike) Dickson, JoAnne Purdy; nephews, Stephen (Joyce) Purdy, Thomas (Judy) Purdy, Kenneth (Holly) Paul; step-daughter, Patricia Grondziak; many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie, New York.
