Barbara DiCairano, 78, died peacefully of acute respiratory failure on April 8th at Brookside Hospice’s Northern Care Center. Born on Sept. 13, 1937 in Houston, TX daughter of late Katherine and Walter Bennett of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice DiCairano of 32 years.
Barbara was originally from Houston, TX, then Woodstock, NY and finally Clearwater, FL since 1989. She attended Lamar High, Rice University and Ulster Comm. College. She has worked at a variety of jobs including her last job at Allstate Insurance Company from 1999 until late 2015. She was on the board of Performing Arts of Woodstock for 1966 until 1979. She was very active in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and then St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clearwater, FL and volunteered at Suncoast Hospice for 11 years working in the office. She is survived by her children, Kathy Goldstone (Carolyn Palo), Mark Goldstone (Jackie), and Gregory Goldstone (Helen) as well as three step-children, Tony (Lynn Fox), Gary (Deb), and Louis (Stacy), 10 grandchildren and a great grandson. You are welcome to join us for the Celebration of her Life ("services"), with bright colors and no ties, on Saturday, April 30th @ 11am at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1676 S. Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764, with a Reception to follow.
