Amir Girgis, 74, of Staten Island, New York, passed away on September 29, 2024. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt on January 1st, 1950. Amir married the love of his life Sonia Girgis on February 16, 1985. He received his accounting degree from the University of Alexandria and worked for over 30 years as a CPA for Rosenthal & Rosenthal. In his free time, Amir enjoyed reading, politics, sports, currency, he was very devout in his faith, but most of all he enjoyed spending his time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sonia, sons Daniel and Jonathan, graddaughter Gabriella-Grace, siblings Samih, Emad, Magdi, and Sawsan.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church on Saturday
October 12, 2024 at 12:00pm and a graveside service to follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
