He was born on June 4, 1929 in Hyde, the son of the late Montgomery and Germaine (Vermeulen) Shaw. On May 8, 1948 he married Anna L. (Killion) Shaw, who passed away on October 25, 2006.
Mr. Shaw retired from Waroquier Coal after 57 years of service.
He was a member of Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club and Old Ranger Buck Camp.
Raymond loved to hunt and fish and all knew him as “Uncle Raymond”.
He is survived by his three daughters: Judith A. Robbins and her husband Raymond of Clearfield, Connie Harris and her husband Jack of Clearfield and Robin Catanese and her husband Richard of Pittsburgh; four granddaughters: Michelle Martin, Kristie Keeler, Stephanie Gordon and Heather Clark; seven great grandchildren: Kyler Martin, Lexy Keeler, Ashlyn Martin, Rachel Keeler, Jessica Gordon, Jacqueline Gordon and Liam Clark; a sister: Violet Freeman of Clearfield; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers: Blaine, Theodore and Robert Shaw.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10am until the hour of services.
