Mary Jane Emigh, 73 of Wallaceton, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of 53 years to Leroy D. Emigh of Wallaceton, having been married October 1, 1960 in Wheeling, W.VA
Born May 8, 1940 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Ruth M. (Read) Yatta.
Mrs. Emigh attended the Wallaceton Church of God and also the former Weslyen Church in Hyde. She was a life member of the Wallaceton Fire Department. Mary Jane was a volunteer with the Summer Lunch Program through the Moshannon Valley YMCA.
Nana loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and also her Daschund’s at home. Mary Jane was known for her homemade bread for the hunters and she loved to shop and loved her lottery tickets.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 12 children: Wayne Emigh and his wife Bonnie, Woodland; John Emigh and his wife Vada, Wallaceton; Deb Dixon and husband John, Munson; Mike Williams and his wife Peg, Wallaceton; Cindy Bradley and her husband Mike, Clearfield; Robin Yarger and her husband Rod, Wallaceton; Tom Emigh and his companion, Anna Wallaceton; Penny Hunt and her husband Jim, Wallaceton; Kathy Lewis and her husband Gary, Wallaceton; Kristina Fenton and her husband Scott, Morrisdale; Donald “Bumper” Emigh and his wife Samantha, Wallaceton; step-son Leroy Maines, Clearfield; 27 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 31 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Rhonda Emigh, a grandson and a great grand daughter; 3 brothers: Philip, Ed and Andrew Yatta; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Williams and Patricia Anderson.
A service to celebrate the life of Mary Jane Emigh will be 1:00PM Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Wallaceton Church of God, 184 Clearfield Street, Wallaceton, PA 16876 with Pastor Matthew Scott officiating. Burial will be in Summit Hill Cemetery.
A time to share memories with the family and have an opportunity to view will be Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Pm at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 and also on Monday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM the time of the service at the church.
