Born on July 19, 1927 in Shawville, PA, she was the daughter of Jesse and Anna C. (Lingle) Taylor.
Louise was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Class of 1945. Upon graduation she attended Clarion State College and Penn State, Dubois Campus.
She was a member of Shawville United Methodist Church.
Louise was a homemaker and retired from Target Sportswear. For many years, beginning in 1992, she began tutoring students working toward their G.E.D. She was past President of the American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary, a member of the Patriotic Order of Americans, Red Hat Society, and the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library.
She is survived by four children, Donald Jury of Lecontes Mills, PA; Charlotte L. Barrett and her husband David of Duncannon, PA; Judith L. Clark and her husband Stephen, Sr. of Frenchville, PA; James L. Jury and his wife Debra of Pittston, PA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Barbara Gardner; Lori Marshall and her husband, Lance; Lisa Balakoff and her husband, Gary; Brian Barrett and his wife Lindsey; Amy Jury and her husband Jeremy Vitzthum; Jennifer Rinehimer and her husband Jason; Stephanie Kachinko and her husband Paul;
Stephen Clark Jr.; Amanda Clark and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her long time friend and care giver, Barb Stiner.
Louise was the last of her generation. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Candace Taylor.
Friends will be received at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 17 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 18 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Historic Crown Crest Cemetery, Clearfield.
