Lona A. Beals

She was born May 16, 1933 in Clearfield, the daughter of Albert E. Haney and Rhoda H. (Dale) Graham.

Mrs. Beals had been employed by the Clearfield Area School District in the cafeteria for 22 years, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.

Lona is survived by her two children; Kimberly Folmar and her husband Mark and Brian R. Beals, all of Clearfield, four grandchildren; Ryan Folmar, Benjamin Folmar and his wife Jennifer, Brian J. Beals and his companion Deanna and Brice J. Beals, one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Beals and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Beals was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin R. Beals whom she married May 3, 1958 and who passed away January 14, 2021, a step sister, Mona Jean Fontenoy, her step father, Fay C. Graham, two step brothers; Cortez and Howard Graham and an aunt, Lona Dale Zimmer who raised her.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 5:00 PM with Rev. Denise Haskins officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the hour of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, 1100 South 2nd Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
