John Matthew Jordan

He was born October 7, 1956 in Clearfield, the son of Thomas Newton and Helen Josephine (Collar) Jordan.

John was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School.

Mr. Jordan had worked for Sky Haven Coal where he began his employment weighing trucks and then moved up to heavy equipment operator.

He was affiliated with the Clearfield Alliance Church.

Mr. Jordan enjoyed farming and had a love for all animals.

John is survived by his wife, Phyllis I. (Knepp) Jordan whom he married June 6, 1981, five children; Donnie Jordan (Cherry) of Segal, Lisa Jordan of York, Kimberly Clark (Jason) of Spring Grove, Joseph Jordan (Penelope) and Anna Jordan all of Woodland, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, Thomas Jordan (Nancy) of Morrisdale and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Michael Knepp officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 until the the hour of services at 8:00 PM.
