John Richard Fullington, Jr.

Mr. Fullington was born January 8, 1953 in Clearfield, the son of J. Richard “Dick” Fullington Sr., and Mildred “Tillie” (Fink) Fullington.

He was a 1971 graduate of Clearfield Area High School where he was a four year letterman in track and basketball. He also participated in chorus. In 1975 he graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in accounting.

Mr. Fullington worked at the family businesses of Fullington Auto Bus Company and Fullington G.M.C. Sales, Inc. He was the owner and operator of the Arrowhead Restaurant of Clearfield. He also held a black belt in Karate where he was an instructor and competitor.

He was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield and was also a member of the Clearfield Area School District Board from 1991 to 1995.

He is survived by two daughters; Heidi M. Burke and her husband Mark of Plymouth, MA and Tenley L. Warhurst and her husband Gene of Fairhope, AL, three grandchildren; Liam, Lily and Finn Burke all of Plymouth, MA, a brother, Michael L. Fullington and his wife Lory of State College, two nephews; Michael J. and Matthew A. Fullington, a niece, Cassandra L. Fullington and his former wife, Loretta P. Fullington of Clearfield.

Mr. Fullington was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Aerial Lynn Weisman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Pastor Paul Bowers officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services.
