Jack G. Unch

Born December 25, 1935 in Clearfield, the son of Lewis and Edna (Derrick) Unch.

He was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Class of 1953.

Mr. Unch was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era as an aircraft mechanic, crew chief and line chief. He retired in 1975 as a TSGT after 21 years of service.

Jack had also worked for Harbison-Walker Refractories and Clearfield Cheese.

Mr. Unch was Catholic by Faith.

Jack is survived by his two sons; Thomas L. Unch and his wife, Paula and Robert G. Unch and his significant other, Sandy, three granddaughters; Elizabeth Kronstead, her husband, Dave, AshLee Brisendine, and EmiLee Mahoney, her husband, Joshua; three great grandchildren; Braxton, Bryson, and Brayden; a sister, Catherine Milligan of Pine Grove, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy L. (Holland) Unch whom he married May 23, 1959 and who passed away May 1, 2016 and a brother-in-law, Clark Milligan.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Robert Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 108R North Second Street, Suite 1B, Clearfield, PA 16830.
