Born March 9, 1965 in Clearfield, he was the son of Mary Agnes (Tkacik) Flanagan of Olanta and Arden Daniel Flanagan.
Eric was a 1984 graduate of Curwensville Area High School.
He was a member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church, Curwensville.
In June of 1988 he wed the former Andrea “A.J.” Levin.
Eric was employed as an equipment operator for IBEW Local 126.
He was a member of Clearfield Creek Rifle Club. Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. He loved spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren’s activities. He received great satisfaction mowing with his zero turn mower and plowing snow for everyone in the neighborhood.
His wife, Andrea “A.J.” Flanagan survives along with their three children; Justine McGary and her husband, Adam of Grampian, Shay Flanagan and his partner, Lauren Holland of Curwensville and Wyatt Flanagan of Glen Richey and four grandchildren; Kael, Adalie, Silas, and Beau McGary.
Eric is also survived by two sisters; Ronda Hamilton and her husband, Walt and Noreen Richards and her husband, Rick, all of Curwensville, two brothers; Dan Flanagan and his wife, Debbie of Wasilla, Alaska, and Alan Flanagan and his wife, Wendy of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Devan Flanagan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Commissioned Lay Pastor Leanne M. Peters officiating.
Interment will be in Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour of services.
