Barbara J. Frank

She was born September 12, 1933 in Song Bird, McKean County, the daughter of Harvey E. and Mary R. (Keesler) Newton.

Mrs. Frank was a loving wife and mother.

She was active in the Girl Scouts, served as a Hospital Volunteer and was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clearfield Chapter No. 379.

Barbara was also the head cook at Boiling Springs High School.

In addition, she served as the main organizer at Trinity Methodist Church kitchen, served as a Sunday School Teacher, was on the Board of Trustees and was Past President of the Methodist Women.

Barbara is survived by her two sons; Gary L. Frank and his wife Marguerite of Brookville and Randal S. Frank of Littleton, CO, five grandsons; Matthew, Andrew, Luke, John and Trevor, a sister, Sandra Clancy of Bradford, a brother, Lynn Newton of Mesquite, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Orin Lynn Frank whom she married August 29, 1953 at the Trinity United Methodist Church and who passed away August 9, 2014, three sisters; Mary Jane Coldren, Nancy Blum and Beth Rebon, two brothers; Richard and Rodney Newton and a daughter-in-law, Jenifer Frank.

Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church of Clearfield on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor T.J. McCabe officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 South Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
