Walton James Prudente

Walton James Joseph Prudente Sr. was born on October 29, 1931, to the late Josephine and Vincenso Prudente. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Patricia Prudente, who he loved and cherished with all of his heart, and his 7 siblings. He is survived by his 3 children, Wally (Bridget), Richie (Iris) and Cheryl (Ron), his grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie (Justin), Jessica and Anthony, and his great grandchildren, Rosie, Kaylee, Roxanne, Phillip, Henley, Layla and Evie and several nieces and nephews. He was known as Poppy to everyone and left a lasting effect on all who had the pleasure to know him. He had a story to go along with every conversation you'd ever have with him, especially if it was about his childhood exploring the streets of New York, vacations he took with his children and grandchildren when they were younger and the Army. The family is at peace knowing he's no longer in pain and that he gets to be reunited with Patricia. He wanted nothing more than that in his life. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, at the age of 91 on August 8, 2023. He was loved beyond measure and will truly be missed.

A funeral service celebrating Wally's Life will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00pm prior to the service. The interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
