Hello,

This is Joseph Chesser. I knew Sarah a long time ago when I was a lot younger, and my family attended Southside Church. I wasn’t close to her, but we were familiar with each other, and she knew and interacted with my family. I remember she worked at that Funworks (or was it Funwerks?) in Cary before it closed down. The last time I spoke to her, she was at the cash register at Dick’s Sporting Goods in the White Oak Shopping Center. From what I recall, she told me that she had recently gotten engaged or married, but my memory is a bit fuzzy. I couldn’t tell you the year either, though if I had to guess, I’d say mid 2000s.

I’ve since relocated to Charlotte, and am approaching 28 years old, but I recently learned of Sarah’s passing, and I discovered this link while looking her up. Therefore, I thought I’d pass along my belated condolences to the family. I’m very sorry for your loss. I remember Sarah as a kind, sweet soul. I’m praying that you all have been able to find peace, strength, and healing that only Christ can bring.

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14”

I'm so sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. She was a wonderful person to know and work with. Always smiling and making people around her smile.

Although few and far between, We enjoyed deep conversations when ever I would do her hair. I knew her from church when she was a youth and cast her in a small play, where she did a very good job in her role. 
Sarah was honest and  open.  She was cheerful, no matter how difficult her life was going, she encouraged others. Beautiful face, voice and laugh.

I am so terribly sorry to hear this news. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
She will be missed with that amazing smile she had.
