Sarah Corbett Jay Armstrong, age 90, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. Born on March 9, 1934, in Johnston County, she was a daughter to the late James Harvy Corbett and Rebecca Stancil Corbett.
Sarah was a part of The Eastern Star for 50 years and was a member of several churches throughout her life. She enjoyed flowers, going out to eat with her family, and cats.
A visitation will be held in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. A funeral service will be held the following day at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Corbett Hatcher Family Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her son, William Edward Camp.
Sarah is survived by her children, Rose Camp Wheeler of Texas; Barry Richard Camp (Wendy) of Wilson Mills, NC; Lisa Ann Clawson of Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.
