He was born January 8, 1946 in Bladenboro, North Carolina to the late James Washington Allen and the late Mildred Doris Hall Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Ray Allen and James Lee Allen.
Mr. Allen was the Owner of Allen Plumbing and HVAC. He enjoyed spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jacquilyn Faye Crocker Allen; children, Richard Wayne Allen, Jr. and wife Jennifer Florence Allen, Kenneth Wayne Allen and wife Jennifer Allen; grandchildren, Katie Ann LeHockey, Nicholas Wayne Allen, Cody Wayne Allen, Ericka Jacquilyn Allen, Trey Allen, Sophie Allen, Hallie Allen, Kenzie Allen, Erin Stewart, Cara Peña-Stewart and Courtney Stewart.
