RALEIGH – Phillip Keith Anderson, ll, age 48, passed away on May 3, 2021.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday May 14, 2021 at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, beginning with words of remembrance and a prayer.
Phillip was born on August 26, 1972 in Smithfield to Jacqueline Bradley Powell of Smithfield and the late Phillip Keith Anderson.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Adrian Bradley III, his grandfather Mack Keith Anderson and his grandmother Barbara Moore Anderson.
He was a graduate of East Carolina University and earned his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Phillip was a loving father and devoted brother. His family and friends knew him as a fun-loving and kind soul. He was adored and known by everyone as a gentle giant. He never met a stranger, always had time for those he loved, and always took the time to help anyone in need.
While Phillip will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to remember him for his big smile and even bigger heart.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children Zane Anderson and Emma Anderson, his brother Bradley Anderson, his niece Ailene Anderson, his grandmother Patricia Bradley and his step-father Danny Powell.
