Patti was my best friend in high school and beyond. We were dedicated "discos" and "city girls". How many Rolling Stones or Elton John concerts did we attend? Who knows. Screaming until we lost our voices.  Patti was always into fashion and we would spend hours with our Glamour, Vogue and Seventeen magazines. While still in high school we would go into Manhattan every chance we got and just walk around window shopping. We always found ways to have a good time. We lost touch years later but finally reconnected during the pandemic. We were sharing memories and photos from the past and filling each other in on our lives from the last 30 years. I think of Patti every time I see something about Mick Jagger. And whenever I hear "Native New Yorker", it is Patti dancing (and that walk!) that floods my memory. I will miss you so much. My name is Christine Riffle.  Tricia and I met in 1996 when we both worked at Consolidated Mortgage in Cary, NC.  I had just began my "adulting" career.  I was the receptionist and she was a loan processor.  One day, these beautiful flowers were delivered to the office.  I was in awe of how pretty they were.  They were for her; however, sent from her ex and she did not want them, so she graciously handed them to me.  That was the first day I met Tricia.  We became fast friends and she took me under her wing and I learned how to be a loan processor.  To this day I am still a loan processor and I am blessed she helped me with my "adulting" career.

I am the oldest of four kids.  As I've traveled through life I haven't had a sibling to look up to.  Tricia and I were not related by blood but I considered her a sister, one I looked up to.  She was one that didn't judge me, listened to me, loved me unconditionally, gave kindness and support.   I hope she felt the same of me.  Having been by her side as a friend all of these years, I know each of you meant something to her wholeheartedly, especially you Frankie.  She was so excited when you were born.  And just recently, when you purchased your house, she could not have been more proud.

Let us not judge, let us listen, love unconditionally, provide kindness and support and be proud of others.  It is what Tricia would want.

I will miss you, our 47 minute phone calls and your cards you send when unexpected.  Until we meet again, I know you are watching over me.

It broke my heart to learn Patti had passed away. She was a close friend and a member of a group of us who unabashedly called ourselves the Jivesome Fivesome. I remember Patti as funny, fun loving, fun to be with, kind, caring - and completely obsessed with the Rolling Stones! For 50+ years now, I think of Patti every time I hear a Stones song. We lost touch after high school (for way too long a time) and reconnected about 13 years ago via FB (FB is good that way). I remember when she moved back to LI to take care of her parents - and she's my role model, the person I hold up in my mind when things get challenging for me in caring for my mom (my husband and I uprooted our lives in VA and moved to FL to take care of my mom 4 years ago). Patti and I periodically checked in (FB) - and most recently, we talked about the Jivesome Fivesome reuniting at our upcoming 50th high school reunion in June 2025. I was so looking forward to seeing her and all of us being together...In the Jewish faith, we say, "May her memory be always for a blessing." She's been a blessing in all our lives, no matter when she came into them. My heart goes out to Patti's family and friends. She is - and will be - deeply missed. Love you, Patti, wherever your spirit is in this universe.

You have always held bright, happy memories  for me! As part of our fun loving group of high school friends, that we proudly named, "The Jivesome Fivesome", we had shared so much laughter and  crazy adventures! Our time, growing up together was truly a treasure.  I am so saddened to know we will not meet again in this lifetime, but will cherish every memory of laughter and joy we shared.
