Mary Moody Barbour died on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was born January 19, 1931, in Wake County, NC to the late Benjamin and Lillie Pulley Moody of Rolesville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Barbour. She was a retired Secretary of Wake County.
Surviving are two sons, David P. Barbour and wife, Monica of Youngsville and Rev. Donnie T. Barbour and wife, Linda of Garner; daughter-in-law, Rita Barbour of Clayton; grandsons, Derek and Casey Barbour; granddaughter, Lezli Barbour; and a sister-in-law, Frances Moody of Louisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home located at 12830 US 70 Bus Hwy W., Clayton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00pm at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Casey Family Cemetery on Little Creek Church Road, Clayton.
