Bobby Sherrill McLamb, age 68, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Bobby was born in Wake County on June 5, 1955 to the late Sherrill and Lyda Stanley McLamb. He shaped the lives of many young men during his time coaching baseball and had an intense passion for fishing. He owned more fishing equipment than any ten people could use. He loved to sing and had his share of adoring fans. He was a devoted husband, a true friend, an immensely committed father and loved his grandchildren with a fierceness that is beyond measure. His passing will leave a mark for many, but his life left its mark on countless more. He will be deeply, deeply missed.
He is survived by his sons, Chris Mclamb and Jonathan McLamb (Candice); grandchildren, Jacob, Avery, Bryce and Colin; a sister, Sue Grissom; and a brother, Bruce McLamb.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Bobby's life will occur Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 3:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home.
