Betty Jane Pollard, 74, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, after a long, difficult illness. Daughter of the late Charles and Juanita Baker Gates, Betty Jane was born June 13, 1943. She was a regular attendee of Barbertown Church of God. When she was able she loved to go shopping, always on the hunt for the perfect deals. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Ray Pollard; daughter, Amy Melissa Pollard; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Nita and two brothers, Albert and Ronnie VanRheen. A celebration of her life will be Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00pm, in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
