September 14th 1940 in Glendale, California but lived here in San Diego nearly all her life.
A graduate of San Diego State College, Linda worked for many years as an executive secretary for San Diego Federal Bank. She was also a member of the Point Loma Order of the Eastern Star.
Linda's passions were her faith, her family and her friends. She was an Elder of the Point Loma Presbyterian Church, a member of the choir and an usher captain. And she never hesitated to support the congregation wherever there was a need. Linda 'spoiled' those she loved and would always tell you she was "grateful" whenever you asked her how she was.
And of course, through good seasons and bad, Linda loved her Chargers and Padres. Many a Sunday she would hurry home from church to catch the last of the game, even after the Chargers moved. And every spring through fall, the kitchen TV would be on during the ballgame as she made dinner.
An avid sailor and RV'er, Linda and her husband traveled the pacific coast, going to Alaska and British Columbia by sailboat and throughout the United States by motorhome. They faced the storms and sunsets together with their beloved Schnauzers, and always had a story to tell.
She is survived by Fred Daugherty, her husband of 35 years and many friends and family. We invite you to leave your remembrances to share with everyone who knew her at: www.humphreymortuary.com
