Alicia was a firm believer in God and a devoted catholic. When you would ask her how she was doing one of her favorite sayings was always "Gracias a Dios que estamos bien." Even when her memory was diminishing she acknowledged God.
She was a hardworking woman of many trades. She worked with others in the hospitality industry for many years. She also worked in the caregiving field taking care of others. But first and foremost she was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother.
Alicia married Carlos Acosta and from that union came 8 kids. Monica, Leticia, Jack, Freddy, Mario, Antonio, Norma and Robert Acosta. Later in life she remarried her life partner Eugenio Espinoza. Whom she now joins in the heavens.
She always enjoyed all of nature. From beautiful plants and flowers of all kinds. So much so that her porch always looked like a jungle. She enjoyed long walks anywhere her feet would take her. She was also known to be a bird lover. She owned dozens of birds throughout her life. Most of all she loved to cook and eat. Anyone who entered her home always left with a full belly.
Alicia leaves behind to cherish her memory: 7 children Monica Acosta, Leticia Acosta Bolanos, Jack Acosta, Freddy Acosta, Antonio Acosta, Norma Acosta and Robert Acosta. 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
John 16:22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.
