Michael Howard Murdoch was born March 2, 1982 and went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2023. Michael was the 2nd son born to Rebecca Jo and Robert Murdoch. He grew up in Chowchilla playing in the youth sports, soccer, Youth Football, and Baseball. He was a member of Alview-Dairyland 4-H where he showed pigs at the county fair.
In High School Michael was not the most studious student. He and a buddy “Luke Roduner: would simply get in their car and go get a Mountain Dew, they never got into trouble because they would always bring their teacher one as well. Michael was in FFA and showed pigs as well as steers. He played football until a knee injury finished his playing days. He was on the high school golf team, his senior year he and his partner in crime, Brian Mancebo both shared the duty of being the school mascot. Of which their “stunts” would eventually get them into trouble. After graduating from high school, Michael moved to Phoenix Arizona and enrolled in the Harley-Davidson Mechanics Tech School graduating as a certified Harley-Davidson Mechanic. Upon graduating he went to work for Mitchel Harley-Davidson in Modesto. He left the Harley-Davidson world and became a Journeyman Millwright out of Local 102, in Livermore. It was while working as Millwright he sustained an injury where he became permanently disabled with a back injury. Prior to his injury, he was an EMT and a PCF Firefighter for Madera County.
In November of 2013 his older brother Chad passed away. Chad’s passing was very hard on him and he chose to move his family to Oklahoma, to create a new beginning. While there he made several lifetime friends, where they would go on fishing and Bible Retreats.
Michael Wyatt Robert Murdoch was born March 21, 1979 and passed away at his young age on November 18, 2013. Wyatt was a very special child. He was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Most children do not live beyond 5 years of age, however Wyatt lived to the age of 12. Even though he was “Handicapped,” he never felt that he was. Wyatt never meet a stranger and he loved everyone he met. He loved animals and BIG trucks. His favorite animal was his pet chicken. Whenever the family couldn’t find Wyatt, he was in the chicken coup with “His” chicken eating something that he shouldn’t have. Wyatt participated in several annual Special Olympics held in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Michael and Wyatt will be reunited with Michael’s older brother, Wyatt’s uncle, Chad Murdoch.
