Mary Louise Bennett

Mary Lou passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Fresno, California, at the age of 96. She was born in Whittier, California on September 15, 1927 to Emil and Violet Reda.

Mary Lou lived in Fresno, California where she worked as a supervisor for the District Attorney of Fresno County’s office, family support division for 17 years. Prior to that she worked for the United Parcel Service for a number of years. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Bennett; her parents Emil and Violet Reda; a sister, Doris Smiley; and a son, Michael Pierson.

Mary Lou is survived by her sister Lois Seppi of Whittier; her daughter and her husband Melinda and Richard Waugh of Nipomo; her daughter and her husband, Marcia and Mike Bane of Fresno; her son, David Bennett of Clovis; and her step-son and his wife, Rick and Donna Bennett of Chowchilla.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brian Taylor, Ben Taylor, Britney Mehling, Justin Bane, Kelli Larsen, Amanda Bennett, Everrett "Evy" Bennett, Christina Alarcon, Erin Ballard, and numerous great grandchildren.

A Service will be held at Palm Memorial-Worden Chapel,140 S 6th Street, Chowchilla, Ca. 93610, on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at 10:00 am.
