Gracie lived most of her life in Chowchilla, California. She was a house keeper for In Home Support Services. Gracie was also an active member of the Chowchilla Senior Center and the VFW Auxiliary Post 9896. She also attended Cathedral of Faith and Assembly of God in Chowchilla.
Gracie is survived by her loving husband Roy I Dow of Atwater, California; children, David L. Ross (Angie) of Madera, California, Rebecca M. Young (Greg) of Indio, California, Karen I Shipman (Eddie) of Chowchilla, California, stepchildren, Robin A. Kelly (Demetrio) of Atwater, California, Rick A. Dow (Karen) of Rome, Georgia, Lisa M. Watland (Andrew) of Atwater, California, Duane Scott (Juanita) of Arizona, Darlene L. Winnie (Willard) of Sacramento, California and Wes D. Scott (Kim) of Fargo, North Dakota. She also leaves behind her brother Jerry Lee Sartin (Louise) of Post Falls, Idaho and sister Karen Sue Rabelos of Standish, California as well as 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father William Sartin, mother Opal Pirtle, brothers, Leslie Sartin, Lester Sartin, Jesse Sartin, Alder Sartin, Lawrence Sartin, Billy Sartin, William Sartin, James Sartin, Gilbert Sartin; sisters, Marjorie Page, Annabell Hotchkiss, Baby Girl Sartin; son James Ross and grandson William Kelly.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel located at 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla, California 93610. Due to Covid-19, only ten people will be allowed to enter at a time. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Chowchilla District Cemetery. Due to the Madera County Guidelines for Covid-19, graveside space is limited. As courtesy to the grieving family, we ask that immediate family members be allowed access to the graveside. All other family and friends may remain outside the cemetery gate for the Graveside Service.
