Rachel Ida Linker

Mrs. Rachel Ida Deal Linker 88 of Kannapolis passed away on February 21, 2018 at her home. Born on August 15, 1929 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Oma Sechler Deal. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, she was a lifelong faithful member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. She worked for Gabriel Glide Manufacturing . Mrs. Linker enjoyed traveling, dancing, cooking and going to church. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, son; Terry Linker (Kim), Randy Linker, Steve Linker (Debbie), Pamela Barneycastle, and Jeffrey Linker (Anita). She is survived by her sisters, Martha Goodnight, Evelyn Laidlaw, Colleen Kerr (Bob) and Judy Gibson Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Travis Linker (Sarah), Dustin Shue (Leslie), Kendall Shue (Amber), Christopher Linker, Amber Laney (Ryan), Matthew Linker (Whitney), Kenny Linker, Chad Linker, Robert Tidwell, Pamela Tidwell, Jody Peters, Miranda Barneycastle (Scott), Heather Barnes (Hugh) and Ashley Moore (Jacob) as well as19 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 3:00 till 4:00 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ with funeral to follow at 4:00 also at the church with Rev. Mark Burns, minister. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Church of Chirist Building Fund P.O.
