Born in Rowan County on March 3, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Waller and Ethel White Waller.
In addition to her parents, four brothers also preceded Joann in death. John Waller, George Waller, Lee Waller and her twin brother, Robert Waller, Sr., along with two sisters, Rosalee Nailer and Betty Jean Waller.
Joann worked many years at nursing homes and she loved to crochet and work crossword puzzles.
On July 5, 1963, she married Jimmy Cauble and shared almost 59 years together.
Surviving Joann are her husband; sons, Terry (Sheila) Waller, Jimmy Franklin Cauble and Thomas W. Cauble; one granddaughter, Jennifer Elaine Waller and two great-grandchildren, Madison Lee Thompson and Regan Leona Thompson.
One brother Billy Eugene Waller, Sr. (Jane) and two sisters, Edith Jackson and Gaynelle Redwine, also survive Joann.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The serving honoring Joann’s life will follow at 1:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Brian Hancock officiating. Burial will be held at Rowan Memorial Park.
